Nature is a source of constant inspiration for the paintings made by Sylvie JOUTEUX, a painter of Poitet origin, living in Morbihan since 1988.
The encounter between natural elements from landscapes observed and interpreted is a major aspect of his pictorial research: “The natural elements are in perpetual confrontation, be it the wave and the rock, the wind and the grass, fire and earth, … It is in these relations of agreement, of opposition, of compromise, located in a space in perpetual movement that the relations to the other are revealed whatever it is. “
The artist tries to express these relations between two worlds in simple compositions where nuanced glazes mixed with more spontaneous touches reveal subtle harmonies of color, shade and light.
In a more sensitive than mental way the whole gives us to perceive the living that nature offers us.
